150 beehives by myself. That wasn't my choice, but here these are the
conditions of work and I do my best with pleasure. I live in Romania and I
have a wonderful familly, 5 kids and 3 nephews. The reason I do want to get
a job is that I want to provide a better life for my familly. Although I
have such an experience and knowledge my pretensions are modest and I am
prepared even to work the first month for free, just to enable you to check

Turkey - I run forty-to-eighty hives depending on the
seasonal changes. I started to take up beekeeping only five years ago at the
age of 35. I would like to benefit from the experience of senior beekeepers.
I would also be enthusiastic about sharing my experience with the beekeepers
from any environment. I reckon our flora challenges any beekeeper's
knowledge and skill, partly because a great deal of honey in Western Turkey
is picked in autumn in the months of September and October from pines, not
from the nectar of the flowers. Thus, beekeepers' ultimate goal here is to
increase the number and strength of the bees until mid-September; they don't
like their colonies to shut down before autumn, which is contrary to
apicultural facts. I am interested in bee species, photography, and varroa
treatment with essential oils.

kept bees, too. Originally I am a language teacher, but am employed now in
IT industry. I came to New Zealand from Croatia 7 years ago. In Croatia,

several types of honey, pollen, royal jelly, beeswax and propolis. Since
we have come to NZ, I haven't had a chance to get involved in beekeeping

New Zealand - We've been beekeeping off and on since 1975
(25 yrs), hive numbers varying from none to 400. About 100 at present.
Chris' current day job is ecologist (threatened species) with NZ Dept. of
Conservation, Robin's is librarian. Beekeeping interest is outside with the
bees rather than in the honey house (we don't have one).
Russia - I am a beekeeper with 10 years experience. I have
15 hives. Our apiary situated in Pskovskay region, Velikie Luki. I am an
engineer telecommunications.
New Zealand - Happily retired to Takaka Golden Bay. Known
for many years as the B.....Man in the Dept of Ariculture/MAF or what ever
it's called now. Since retiring I am keeping very busy, without having to
lift heavy hives. I am concerned at the amount of false labels that appear
on honey jars these years, what ever happened to the true to type honeys of
yesteryear. Rata never was dark brown!!!!
Australia - 500 hives for honey production. Beekeeping
experience in Arizona, New Zealand and Australia.
India - I am an Entomologist having 5000 hives, experience
of three year in beekeeping, interested to join experienced honey bee breeder
Romania - I like to know much more about queens.
US - Have been backyard beekeeper in Maine since 1995. Have
10 hives primarily Italian stock. Love the personal satisfaction and
learning that comes from working with God's greatest little workers. If
only we worked half as hard as our bees, and with half of the cooperation
that the bees show, then this world would be a much better plac place in
which to live. I extend my warmest greetings to all my fellow beekeepers
throughout the world.

New Zealand - Science technician at Hort+Research,
interested in all aspects of beekeeping especially in bee diseases.
US - I don't have any hives. I am researching to get started
with a few at home to help pollinate my fruit trees and berry producing
bushes, but I am also interested in the honey and wax, as well as finding a
tough strain that will not succumb to those mites! I also live in town but
my property borders an alley, so I am hoping to raise a few there without it
being a nuisance to neighbors. Any info would be appreciated!

Australia - I run approx. 80 hives, am currently Secretary
of Southern Tablelands Branch of the NSW Apiarists' Association. We are at

Bosnia - Two years of expiriance. At this moment before
expand I am interesed in beekeeping as a hobby. Now I have 5 hives only but
working with my friend Vehid Birdahic who has 70. I am learning from him. We

Romania - My profession is mechanical engineer specialist in
food industry machines and
plants and I love very much organic farming , especially the beekeeping. I

Germany - I am keeping about 4 hives as hobby, experience
since 6 years. interested in fight against Varroa and natural-beekeeping.
Lithuania - 4 hives, more 10 years . Electronic engineer,
52. Constructed some self adapting, "sophisticated" electronic heaters for
my hives to save fuel i.e. honey, especially during cold spring nights. The
way of improvements lasts 5 years.
Pakistan - I am bekeeper since 1984. I am the only beekeeper
who has apiries at different ecological zone of the country and having a
network of honey marketing in the country. Total having 300 colonie.
Interest: Import of bee colonies, queens, equipments and training materials.
